World Car Free Day is Wed., Sept. 22 + commuters are encouraged to forego cars and get around by bus, bicycle, train, or on foot.

🚌 WeGo Transit
WeGo services over 30 local and regional bus routes that connect to major corridors, businesses, and other stops throughout Nashville.
- The bus service offers fares for adults, children, and seniors, including express service, monthly passes + more.
- WeGo’s fall service changes will be implemented Sun, Oct. 3.
- As a reminder, masks are required on all WeGo vehicles and in all WeGo facilities.
🚄 WeGo Star
The WeGo Star is a commuter rail service running between downtown Nashville and Lebanon.
- The 32-mile track features 7 stations, including stops in Mt. Juliet, Hermitage, Donelson, and others.
- Purchase monthly passes and 10-ride tickets online or single-ride tickets at WeGo Central, Riverfront Station, Mt. Juliet City Hall, and Lebanon City Hall.
- After arriving at the Riverfront station downtown, hop on a WeGo bus to continue your commute.
Bonus: If you love commuting by train, Amtrak announced plans for potential new routes connecting Nashville to Chattanooga + Atlanta.
🚲 Nashville BCycle
Nashville’s city-wide bike-share program relaunched operations in late July after the service shut down due to COVID-19.
- The new all-electric fleet features 300 pedal-assist bikes.
- Unlock a bike at one of the 23 stations using your phone + see available bikes in real time.
Take the bike on a 30-minute trip for $5 or explore guest, monthly, and annual passes.
🛴 Scooters
Nashville has a complicated history with electric scooters, but you can still find some companies in operation, such as Bird, Lime, and Unagi.
