Development
Ernest Tubb Record Shop will remain openand undergo some changes. The new owners plan to add a rooftop to the building and restore the exterior to its 1850s glory. The merchandise and the record shop will occupy a floor, in addition to a honky tonk and private floor. 🎶 (Nashville Business Journal)
A Germantown condominium located across from Kroger (1320 Rosa L. Parks Blvd.) is expected to break ground in late summer. Tentatively named “The Pearl,” the four-floor complex will house 16 three- and four-bedroom units. (Nashville Post)
Civic
The Metro Nashville Police Department launched a new unit last week that is responsible for the downtown entertainment district. Thirty officers will patrol the area Thursday through Sunday each week. 🚨 (WKRN)
History
The Civil Rights Tour of Nashville has begun in-person walking tours again for the first time since March 2020. Sightsee and learn more about the city during the Civil Rights era of the 1950s and 1960s. Tours take place Thursday through Sunday at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Book now. (WSMV)
