All you need to know about Nashville International Airport

Traveling via plane is fun — jet-setting over beautiful blue waters or rolling hills, taking in cloud formations, and landing in a completely different location in a matter of hours is unlike anything else.
The whole navigating the airport part? Less exciting, and sometimes pretty stressful. To help make your time at the Nashville International Airport (BNA) as smooth as possible, we’ve created a guide that covers everything from parking and dining to details on the airport’s 89 nonstop flight destinations.
What to know
TSA | TSA is located at the airport’s north and south security entrances. Security checkpoints open daily at 3:30 a.m.
Map it out | If you’re like us and need to completely visualize a place before you step foot inside, this map of the entire airport will be your saving grace.
Food and drink | A slew of local and regional restaurants call BNA home, meaning you can sip on your favorite local cup of joe or enjoy a comfort meal before takeoff. Bongo Java, TailGate Brewery, Tennessee Brew Works, and 400 Degrees are just a few of the local offerings.
Flight status | While we recommend staying updated via your respective airline, you can also check the airport’s dashboard for your flight status in a pinch.

Editors Dylan + Skylar here. 👋 We recently put our mixology skills to the test at downtown’s Liquor Lab Nashville, where we learned from the pros how to make three holiday-themed craft cocktails.
Here are a few basics to know before you go:
Location: 144 2nd Ave. N., Ste. 10
What you’ll need: Make sure to bring your photo ID and inform the Liquor Lab team of any allergies you have or any non-alcoholic substitutes you desire. Doors open ~30 minutes before the class begins.
Food: Most classes include a meal or refreshments — NASHtoday’s class kicked off with a prepackaged barbecue meal with mac and cheese and cornbread.
Without further ado, check out the three holiday cocktails we made in this video and find the ingredients for each drink below.
✨ Holiday Toddy — brandy, apple syrup, hot tea, and heavy cream
✨ Festive Collins — gin, cranberry syrup, lime juice, and tonic
✨ Mulled Spice OF — mulled spice-infused whiskey, spiced Demerara syrup, and bitters
Pro tip: No need to bring a notebook and pen to write down the recipes. Liquor Lab will send you instructions following the class.
THE WRAP

Editor’s pick: In case you missed the news over the summer, Mt. Juliet’s Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary is getting a specialty license plate. As many as 1,000 Tennessee residents must order plates for production to begin, and it sounds like the nonprofit is in need of more sign-ups. Learn more about the $35 plates. 🐶
