Welcome home, team. The Nashville Predators opened the season with back-to-back wins against the San Jose Sharks at the NHL Global Series in Prague.
With the team back in action and ready to hit home ice this week, we’re sharing what you need to know about the 2022-2023 season.
🏒 Getting loud in Smashville
Opening Night at Bridgestone Arena is on Thurs., Oct. 13, where the team will take on the Dallas Stars at 7:30 p.m. — score tickets to the game. Here are a few other season highlights:
The schedule includes 12 Saturday home dates.
The Preds have eight home games in November, the most in a single month this season.
The team’s longest homestand is five games — beginning Sat., Nov. 12 and ending Mon., Nov. 21 — with matchups against the New York Rangers, Minnesota Wild, New York Islanders, Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Arizona Coyotes.
Not able to make it to a game? All regionally available games will be televised on Bally Sports South and the Bally Sports app.

Walk Bike Nashville’s Open Streets — a program that temporarily closes streets to car traffic and opens them for people to walk, bike + play— is coming to East Nashville on Sun., Oct. 30 from 12-5 p.m. The event will have artists, musicians, vendors, and activities along parts of Main Street. 🚲
Development
McEwen Northside, a 45-acre mixed-use community in Cool Springs, is expanding again. Block E will add 300,000 sqft of office, retail, and restaurant space, including an 8,000-sqft “signature restaurant” + a skybridge. (The Tennessean)
Plan Ahead
Ryman Auditoriumannounced a new exhibit in partnership with the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. “Rock Hall at the Ryman” opens in early November and will feature artifacts from James Brown, Joni Mitchell, and Dolly Parton, to name a few. Tickets are on sale now. 🎸 (Rolling Stone)
“Disney Animation: Immersive Experience” is coming to Lighthouse ArtSpace Nashville (4416 Ridgefield Way) in early 2023. The experience will feature “the music and artistry” of Disney animated films, from classics like “Peter Pan” and “The Lion King” to new favorites like “Encanto” and “Frozen.”
Sports
The Tennessee Titans came away with a 21-17 victory against the Washington Commanders yesterday afternoon. In case you missed it, Titans linebacker David Long intercepted Commanders quarterback Carson Wentz at the one-yard line in the last few seconds. The team now advances to 3-2. 🏈
Nashville SCdefeated Los Angeles FC 1-0 at the final regular season match on Sunday evening. The team will return to California to face off against LA Galaxy during Round 1 of the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs. Stay tuned for match info.

Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Plan ahead for the 41st Annual Tennessee Indian Education Pow Wow set for Fri., Oct. 14-Sun., Oct. 16. For decades, the event has helped educate attendees of all ages on Native American cultureand traditions + local indigenous communities.
